Yesterday was my uncle’s funeral. It went well, as well as a funeral can go anyway. It was good to see family, I just wish it had been under better circumstances.
I’m ready to get back to a normal life. My wife and I have been married for only 20 days now, and we haven’t had any opportunity whatsoever so far to settle in to married life. The honeymoon was great, but it is difficult to settle in in any way when you are 6 hours from home. Once we got home, we had a few days to get some things done, but then I got sick. I got well again through last weekend, and then my uncle died. Now that greiving is becoming more like remembering, I hope that we can begin to settle in.
