President Reagan hasn’t even been buried yet, and legislation is being considered to put his face on either the 10 or 20 Dollar bill. Another idea is to mint half of all dimes with his face on it (the other half would remain FDR dimes). My opinion is that it doesn’t matter to me either way, I respect the man and think he was a great President, but this seems like the kind of thing that should be considered at a later date, like AFTER he’s buried. Give it a year or so and see if there is still the support for it. I’m sure there will be, since the dime was proposed before he died.

Another idea I’m NOT for is adding Reagan’s head to Mt. Rushmore. First of all, I don’t think there’s room. Second of all, while I think Reagan was a great President, I don’t want the Democrats crying because their guy isn’t up there. All we need is for JFK, Clinton, or even Carter to be forever memorialized by getting their faces carved in a mountain.

  1. The only real problem with taking Licoln off Rushmore would be that his replacement’s face would be quite small next to the rest. By the time you blow away enough rock to sculpt a new face, there wouldn’t be enough left to make it the same size as what’s there now.

I’m ok with getting rid of FDR too!
