I woke up at 3:00 this morning and haven’t been able to get back to sleep. I think I’m more excited that I thought I’d be about this trip to Indiana, which I leave for in an hour.
I think spring must be here. I heard birds chirping for the first time this year this morning. Here is frigid Minnesota, that’s always a big deal. Only 6 more weeks before we can enjoy getting outside on a regular basis!!
Joking aside, I never realized how much colder Minnesota is than the rest of the country until I took a road trip to Florida last April. The temperature was in the 40-50 degree range here, and the trees were only beginning to bud. As close as southern Iowa, the temp was about 15 degrees warmer and everything was green. If global warming is a political issue, I’m voting “yes”.
