Just a Vapor

I enjoy voicing my opinion on things I like, as evidenced by the Mozilla plug in my last post. I noticed today that my fellow bloggers who are using blogspot were left out in the cold. Vox’s blog is down, as is Sarah’s. Frustrating for them I bet. This is one reason I like using Movable Type. It’s a software package, not a service, so it can be used anywhere. I host my blog on my own Linux machine with my cable modem connection. It has worked great for me, and as long as I don’t start getting too much traffic, it should continue to work for me. The hardest part was getting Movable Type installed on my machine, but their tutorials and forums helped get the job done.
