If only Michael Peroutka had been elected President! I never quite get these people who say that because [insert politician’s name here] is not approving a budget increase as substantial as people hope, but rather is increasing it by a smaller margin, it is a cut. So if I get a 10% raise, but I really wanted a 20% raise, I can call it a pay cut?
These people have no idea what a cut is. If I or mine were elected President, they’d see actual cuts in the Federal Budget. If it doesn’t fit nicely in a literal reading of the Constitution, it’s gone. It wouldn’t see marginal increases, it would be eliminated altogether.
