A few weeks ago, I posted that I discovered a station in town that play’s Air 1 music. Since then, I’ve had a little time here and there to listen to it. I’d have to say overall I like it. They play the kind of Christian music that I enjoy, by bands I’ve heard of and by bands I haven’t heard of. There are no commercials, and very little talk between songs. There is occasionally a little bit of talk about a Christian organization, or national prayer suggestions/requests, but talk really is minimal.

I’ve also had a little time to listen to the sister network of Air 1, K-Love. K-Love is very similar in that it has minimal talk and no commercials, and the music is similar, but actually a little more my style.

The only thing I have against either Air 1 or K-Love is that they fall into the same traps that any music radio station falls into, playing certain music too often. I have been somewhat of a fan of Jeremy Camp since I first heard his music about a year ago, but he gets far too much play on Air 1. Hearing something too much makes me far less likely to buy the CD. Why bother when all you have to do is turn on the radio?

Overall, I recommend both Air 1 and K-Love. They both have stations from coast to coast and also have internet feeds. If you enjoy Christian music, give them a try.
