I’m giving away GMail invites to anyone who does the following:

  • Go to FreeiPods.com (must be through this link – now disabled)
  • Sign up for an account (free). I recommend using an email address that you expect spam to be sent to. I’m not saying they’ll send spam, but don’t take any chances.
  • Complete one of the offers listed. For the most part, they are free trials. I recommend infone or stamps.com. If you never use the infone service, you’ll never be charged and you don’t have to worry about cancelling, and they offer a free $10 amazon.com gift certificate when you sign up.
  • When I see that you’ve completed an offer (my freeipods status page will have your email address, a green light, and it will say “offer completed”), I will send a GMail invite to the address listed. – I only have enough invites to give them to people who complete and offer, if you sign up, but don’t complete an offer, I’m sorry I can’t give you an invite.

Sources that attest to the legitimacy of freeipods.com:

There are tons of people still looking for GMail invites. I have several of them available, but I’m looking for some help before I give them out. If you do this for me, you get a GMail account, and you start out on the process of getting your own free iPod.

As long as this post is up, the offer is on the table. Even if it appears to be old, sign up and I’ll give you an invite.

Thanks so much for your help.

UPDATE

May 7, 2007. GMail hasn’t been requiring invites for some time now, and freeipods has turned into a scam. Consider this post obsoleted.

  1. I’m trying to get an iPod. If I give my Gmail invites out to people who don’t want to help me out, I won’t have them to give to those who do.

The instructions for how to get an invite are clearly listed above.
