I sort of forgot about doing the normal posts recently. On Monday, April 2nd I had to get up extra early and drive my wife to the hospital where she remained until the following Friday. It was good though, she went in to have a ceasarian section in order to give birth to our first child, a boy. He came out at 8 lbs, 0 oz. and 20 ” long. We named him Jude.
Being a dad now has been exciting, but tiring as well. He is the first grandchild on both sides of the family, which has made for a lot of visits with family; immediate and extended. It is also taking a lot of adjustment to be able to get by with an intermittent sleep schedule. Fortunately for me, we are breast feeding, so my wife is taking care of the middle of the night stuff.
I head back to work tomorrow after a two week break.
