I’ve written before about Naziism being a left-wing political ideology, contrary to popular belief. Vox Day did it again today with an excellent analysis on his blog of Naziism. I’d like to quote it here, but it is quite long, so I will direct you here to see it. It is laid out much better than I can lay it out, going point by point through the 1920 Munich Manifesto and comparing it to the Communists, Modern American Democrats and Republicans, and Libertarians. The Nazis are in far too much agreement with the Communists (83% according to Vox’s analysis) and the Democrats (68%) to be in any way right-wing. Even the Republicans, sadly are in too much agreement (47%). This is why I refuse to call myself a Republican, despite my very conservative political views. The Libertarians came out at 9% agreement with the Nazi party, being in complete agreement with only one point in 25, and are much closer to my own views than other ideologies. In fact, the only ideology I can imagine myself being to the left of would be Libertarianism, and then not by much.
