After close to a year (I don’t know exactly how long), I’ve finally finished some work I volunteered to do. I discovered a website that I think is really cool, Firefighters For Christ, where there are hundreds of audio commentaries and sermons freely available in MP3 format. They started out as a tape ministry, and added a website a few years ago with the rise of the internet where they added MP3 files. I was looking around at what they had and noticed some tapes they offered that weren’t available via MP3 and thought I’d give them a call to see if maybe I wasn’t looking in the right spot. Seems I was, they just hadn’t gotten around to digitizing them. I was unemployed at the time, and offered to help them get some digitizing done. They were excited to have the help. They asked me to contact another minstry and have them send me a set of 36 tapes, digitize them, and let them know when I was done. I did contact the other ministry, and got the tapes but only got about eight at a time, with several months between each set. I finally got the last set about 2-3 weeks ago, and got them finished today. I’ll be able to get them in the mail tomorrow. I’d like to digitize more for them, but hope that I can get the tapes I need faster in the future.
