I got my iPod on Friday from freeipods.com!!!!

I took the chance, after seeing that it was getting good reviews, that maybe it was still a scam. It turned out that it isn’t. Sometimes when things seem too good to be true, they’re still true.

For instructions on how to get a free iPod yourself:

  • Use Internet Explorer. I hate it, but other browsers don’t seem to work right.
  • Go to FreeiPods.com (please use this link, I’m working on a second freebee for my wife)
  • Sign up for an account (free). I recommend using an email address that you expect spam to be sent to. I’m not saying they’ll send spam, but don’t take any chances.
  • Complete one of the offers listed. For the most part, they are free trials.
  • Get five people to sign up the same way using your referral link.
  • Patiently wait for them to ship you your choice of an Apple iPod, an HP iPod (if available – may speed shipping since the Apple ones are more popular), an iPod mini (several colors available), or a $250 iTunes gift certificate (since it’s emailed you get it pretty fast)

UPDATE

May 7, 2007. freeipods.com has changed their terms so dramatically that I would now consider them a scam, and would not recommend anyone do business with them, free or otherwise.

  1. After much thought, Andy, I said what the heck. I’ve given you a link, reposted the post, and hey, if I can get a free iPod as well, so much the better. I just received confirmation that BMG has confirmed me, so you should be getting the credit soon.

  2. Thanks a ton!

I did get credit for your signup today. I’m just a little confused right now about the process. In the end, I got 6 referrals, but one was rejected because they claimed it wasn’t unique. I can’t testify to it’s authenticity since it was just someone who clicked on the link here at my blog. It sholdn’t make any difference though, since I still have the five that are required. I’m not offered the link to order it yet though, like I was offered last time around.

I added a note at the bottom of this post to use the link of referring blogs, not mine, so if anyone comes to my blog from yours, I hope they will still use your link, not mine.
