Joseph Farah makes a strong case today to impeach Chairman Bush. This frustrates me greatly. Don’t get me wrong, I agree with Farah. What frustrates me is that just a year ago, the cries from the middle-right were deafening “this is the most important election of our lives,” “Bush is a great man, you’re not a Christian if you don’t vote for him,” “He isn’t the lesser of two evils, he isn’t evil at all.”

George Bush doesn’t give a damn about you. He wanted to be President, and he was willing to sell you out to get the job.

Now you’ve re-elected him, and what has he done for you?

  • The borders are still wide open.
  • The government is growing faster than ever.
  • We now have CAFTA.
  • The Law of the Sea Treaty is a reality. Just another chipping away of our national sovereignty.
  • Prices are rising across the board. Meanwhile the dollar is falling.
  • There is still no formal declaration of war in Iraq or Afghanistan. This “war” is now costing more per year than the entire first World War cost us, even adjusted for inflation.
  • The abortion holocaust continues unabated
  • We’re facing a Supreme Court nomination of a man who has no written record. The fact that he’s even “conservative” still remains to be seen.

But no, he will probably not be impeached. I doubt even Ron Paul, the Congressman I respect more than any other, has the guts to write up articles of impeachment.

And no, those who were wailing about the evils of a Kerry Administration will not see the light and vote for a true conservative in three years. They’ll be crying again that a Newt Gingrich Administration is far better than a Hilary Clinton Administration.

I see little difference between the two.
